REFUND POLICY
Thank you for choosing California Document Prep, operated by Grandcrest Holdings LLC DBA Grandcrest Business. We strive to provide fast, accurate, and professional document preparation services.
This Refund Policy explains when refunds may or may not be issued for our services.
1. All Sales Are Final Once Work Begins
Because we provide custom, labor-based document preparation, all payments become non-refundable once:

You submit your intake form, or

We begin drafting your documents
Whichever happens first.
This complies with industry standards and California Business & Professions Code requirements for LDAs.
2. No Refunds for Completed Work
We do not issue refunds for:

Finished documents

Documents that have been typed, drafted, or prepared

Work completed based on information you provided

Documents you later change your mind about

Court decisions or outcomes (we cannot guarantee results)
Once a document has been prepared, payment cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
3. No Refunds for Delays Caused by Clients or Third Parties
Refunds are not issued for delays caused by:

Courts

County Recorders
-
Government agencies
-
Clerk errors
-
Client delays responding or providing information
-
Client failure to review documents in a timely manner
Document Prep timelines depend heavily on client cooperation and third-party processing.
4. Filing Fees Are Non-Refundable
If you request us to file documents:

Court filing fees
-
Recorder fees
-
Processing fees
-
Notary fees
are non-refundable because these fees go directly to third parties.
5. Duplicate Orders or Errors
Refunds may be issued in limited cases if:

You accidentally submitted a duplicate order

Your payment was made in error and we have not started work
If work has already begun, the order cannot be refunded.
6. Chargebacks Are Not Allowed
By purchasing our services, you agree not to file chargebacks or payment disputes for:

Completed work

In-progress work
-
Work delivered based on your instructions
We will respond to all chargebacks with:

Completed document proof
-
Your intake form
-
LDA compliance records
-
Communication logs
-
Terms & Conditions acceptance
This ensures full legal protection for the business.
7. Cancellations Before Work Begins
If you request cancellation before we begin working on your file, a partial refund may be considered, minus:

$35 administrative fee

Any time spent reviewing submitted information
Once we begin typing, drafting, or preparing your documents, the order becomes non-refundable.
8. No Guarantee of Legal Outcomes
We are not attorneys.
Refunds cannot be issued based on:

Court rulings

Denials
-
Delays
-
Rejections
-
Client dissatisfaction with legal outcomes
We prepare documents exactly as you direct.
