California Document Prep is a registered Legal Document Assistant (LDA), LDA #0449 (San Bernardino County).

Under California law, we:

• Are not attorneys

• Cannot give legal advice

• Cannot represent you in court

• Can only prepare documents at your specific direction

Your use of our services means you understand and accept these limitations.

 

2. User Responsibility

By working with us, you agree that:

• You choose your own legal forms

• You provide the information that goes into your documents

• You determine the accuracy of your information

• You are responsible for your legal decisions

• You may consult an attorney at any time

• You will not rely on us for legal advice

We type and prepare documents based solely on what you tell us.

 

3. No Legal Advice

Nothing we say, write, post, or explain shall be considered legal advice.

You agree that:

• Any legal questions must be directed to an attorney

• We cannot recommend what actions you should take

• No attorney-client relationship is created

 

4. Payment & Fees

All fees are for document preparation, typing, clerical assistance, and filing services if requested.

Payments are:

• Due upfront unless otherwise specified

• Non-refundable once work has started

• Final for all completed documents

We do not accept chargebacks or payment disputes for completed work.

 

5. Refund Policy

Refunds follow our official Refund Policy, which is posted on our website.

 

6. Turnaround Times

Turnaround times are estimates and may vary based on:

• Client responsiveness

• Court or Recorder processing times

• Volume of documents

• Complexity of your file

We strive for accuracy and speed, but no guarantee is made regarding final filing timelines.

 

7. Document Accuracy

You are fully responsible for:

• The accuracy of the information you provide

• Reviewing your documents before signing

• Ensuring all details are correct

We type what you provide.
We do not review for legal sufficiency.

 

8. Filing Services

If you request filing services:

• We will file documents exactly as you direct

• You are responsible for any court or agency filing fees

• We are not liable for delays caused by the court or third parties

 

9. Communication

We may communicate with you via:

• Email

• Phone

• Text message

• Secure forms

By using our services, you consent to receive communication related to your case or documents.

 

10. Confidentiality

We maintain confidentiality as required by law.
We do not sell or share your information except:

• When required to complete your documents

• When legally obligated

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not responsible for errors caused by incorrect information you provide

• We are not liable for court decisions, delays, or outcomes

Your sole remedy is the cost of the service provided.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Any disputes must be resolved in San Bernardino County, California.
